is located in Lysterfield Park on the eastern outskirts of Melbourne. When the quality of water in the lake
is good, as it is most of the time, I believe that this is the best outdoor swimming venue in Melbourne. It has two
swimming beaches with a gradual entry that is suitable for kids, and a wide
expanse of water that also caters for long distance swimmers who are tired of doing tumbleturns in the local pool.

The lake is suitable for families, with heaps of activities on offer including picnics, barbecues, mountain bike
riding, canoeing, windsurfing and any ball games you can play on a big lawn.
